Project 1 Flier

Kellie-Pitchforth-InDesign-Flier

  1. Description:This is a flier to inform people about the Graduate Leadership Conference.
  2. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): This flier gave me the opportunity to get comfortable with the program InDesign. I was able to learn the basic components of InDesgin and how to use them. In addition, I applied what I learned from the textbook in my work. I used flow with my picture by choosing a picture that draws the readers attention to the text. I used the rule of odds and repetition with the lines across the top and bottom of the paper. The different fonts contrast one another in an appealing way. The white space is not trapped and has access to the outsides of the page.
  3. Message: The message that is being portrayed is information about the conference. It has the time and place, why it is important to attend, and explains what will be gained from attending. There is also information about where to register for the conference.
  4. Audience: The conference is available to anyone whom is interested in learning essential leadership skills and wants to meet with top executives. This conference is for tomorrow’s leaders.
  5. Top Thing Learned: I learned a lot from making this flier. I had previously had no experience with InDesign, and was unsure what was needed to make a decent flier. I learned the basic capabilities of InDesign, and learned how to maneuver around the program. I am starting to learn the shortcuts within the program and what is visually appealing.
